To our Chatfield Community:

As we build our lives in this community, many of us have come to appreciate what we have here in the Chosen Valley. We enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area, the benefit of living in a supportive community that offers small town living, long term relationships, excellent education, a safe environment to raise a family, and a quality of life that you just canít find elsewhere.

Over the past 12 years, the Chosen Valley Community Foundation (CVCF) has provided yearly grant money into our community with the mission to inspire, sustain and enhance the quality of life for the Chatfield communityís residents, from the youngest to the oldest.Perhaps you didnít know that we have given over:††

$83,000 to the Chatfield Public Schools (individual and facility)

         $40,000 to Community Education projects

$35,000 in Nursing Scholarships to individuals

$20,000 for Chatfield Parks and Trails including the new playground

$11,000 to the Chosen Valley Care Center

Plus thousands of dollars in grants have been provided to the Chatfield Center for the Arts, Chatfield Preschool, the Chatfield Band, the Chatfield Firefighters, the Public Library, Western Days, and the sponsoring of the summer Concert in the Park series. All funds go towards making the Chatfield community a great place to live and raise a family!

Of course, we would not be able to do this year after year without your support! We manage and grant funds that are donated by people like you, who appreciate and benefit from the rich quality of life we have here in the Chatfield community.

Why should you trust the CVCF with any donations? That is a fair question! The Chosen Valley Community Foundation is not some distant charity run by people on the East Coast or by the Government. The Board of the CVCF is made up of a dozen of your fellow citizens living here in the Chosen Valley. People who understand the benefits of living here and the aspirations of the families that make up our community. Further, the funds that come into the CVCF through donations are managed by the Rochester Area Foundation, the same one established by the people who manage the Mayo Clinic endowments. The CVCF is managed as a 501C3 non-profit foundation, which means all contributions provide tax advantages to you.

This letter is to encourage you to consider assisting us continue to improve upon the quality of life we have all come to know and enjoy here in the Chosen Valley. There are several ways you can be a part of our community life improvement:
